Geneva to Milan
an Alpine adventurE
This is a classic cycle tour with a twist. Originally designed for a group of 12 clients, we eschewed the picturesque but gentler roads which head eastwards from Geneva, through Switzerland before turning south to cross into Italy, instead opting to design a tour with a French col or two in mind. Crossing the Alps via the Telegraph and Galibier, made famous in many a Tour de France, means this tour was bound to present a challenge but one we thought would be more than manageable to the amateur keen to pedal in the wheel tracks of the pros . Scheduled over 5 days we took on those epic climbs before speeding towards our final destination in Milan. For those with a little less time we also offered a shortened version of the tour which finished in four days in the delightful Piedmontese city of Asti, famous for its sparkling wine. Day 2. Albertville to Valloire (101km - 1950m)
Day 3. Valloire to Pinerolo (146km - 2,300m)
Day 4. Pinerolo to Asti (87km - 400m) or Pinerolo to Alessandria (130km - 450m)
Geneva to Asti clients depart Milan
Day 5. Alessandria to Milan (110km - 300m)
Day 6. Depart Milan
